Lydia Kressel is a senior at Virginia Tech, originally from Haymarket, Virginia. She is majoring in Real Estate and minoring in Business. 

Recently, Lucky Dog Animal Rescue asked Virginia Tech to help with the planning, development, and financing of a new large-scale animal shelter in South Carolina to house animals displaced by catastrophic events. Lydia was selected as one of three VT students to participate in the shelter project, which has provided her real-life experience with design, budgeting, and analytical thinking.

This summer Lydia is interning with Park Properties Management Company where she works as a leasing consultant for luxury and low-incoming housing. The internship has strengthened her knowledge of leasing, affordable housing, and property management. 

Lydia is planning to attend graduate school at Florida State for an MBA.
