Alison Beddard Alumni Spotlight

Alison Beddard, a 1997 Virginia Tech graduate, has been named Managing Principal of Cushman & Wakefield’s Oregon operations, adding to her leadership of the firm’s Washington business. Since joining Cushman & Wakefield in 2005, she has steadily advanced, previously serving as Managing Principal for Utah before transitioning to Washington in 2021.
Based in Seattle, she will now oversee Portland, Seattle, and Bellevue. Recognized for her hands-on leadership and client-focused approach, she has played a key role in business growth and talent development across the Pacific Northwest.
Beddard’s career path was unconventional—after earning a degree in human nutrition, foods, and exercise, she worked in healthcare, became a flight attendant for Delta Airlines, and later launched a property management business that sparked her interest in real estate. Encouraged by mentors, she obtained her real estate license and joined Cushman & Wakefield, quickly excelling in the industry.
Beyond her professional success, Beddard is a champion for women in commercial real estate. She serves on the National Leadership Council for Cushman & Wakefield’s Women’s Integrated Network (WIN) and was 2017 President of CREW Network, leading its global expansion. She advises industry newcomers to build connections early, invest in soft skills, and find a sponsor—someone who will advocate for them even when they're not in the room.
Beddard has received numerous awards recognizing her as an influential leader and a top woman in business and real estate. She has been honored as one of Utah Business Magazine’s Thirty Women to Watch, Real Estate Forum’s Women of Influence, and a Puget Sound Business Journal Power 100 honoree.
Now expanding her leadership into Oregon, Beddard looks forward to driving growth, innovation, and new opportunities for clients while continuing to mentor and uplift the next generation of industry professionals.
