Xue Xiao
Assistant Professor of Real Estate

Xue Xiao is an Assistant Professor for the Blackwood Department of Real Estate, housed within the Pamplin College of Business, at Virginia Tech. She currently focuses on research in commercial real estate (CRE) resilience and its interaction with the broader economy under economic changes and uncertainties as well as pricing of real estate space. One of her research is forthcoming on a top journal, American Economic Journal: Economic Policy. She has also been an active reviewer for leading real estate and urban economic journals.
She graduated with her Ph.D. in Business Administration from Smeal College of Business at Penn State with an emphasis on real estate. Before Penn State, she had a B.Sc. degree in Real Estate from National University of Singapore and held professional positions in the investment and real estate private equity firms.
